These terms explain what is included, what is not included and how orders, delivery, cancellations and refunds work for otta.ie written setup checks.

These terms apply to otta.ie written setup checks.

These terms apply when you order a written setup check from otta.ie. The current written setup checks cover home servers, Home Assistant setups and small websites.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms and to the scope shown on the product page for the setup check you choose.

A written review, not live support.

otta.ie provides written setup advice based on the information you send. This may include screenshots, setup notes, problem descriptions, website links, configuration summaries and your goals for the setup.

The output is a written review with practical notes, risks, priorities and suggested next steps.

This is not:

  • Live troubleshooting
  • Emergency support
  • Remote repair work
  • Remote access support
  • Direct changes to your system, website or smart home
  • A guaranteed fix for unknown faults
  • Managed IT support

Send enough detail, but do not send secrets.

After ordering, you may be asked to send details about your setup, the problem you want reviewed and any relevant screenshots or configuration notes.

Do not send:

  • Passwords
  • Private tokens
  • API keys
  • Recovery codes
  • Bank or payment details
  • Remote access credentials
  • Private personal information that is not needed for the review

If sensitive information is accidentally sent, otta.ie may ask you to rotate or replace those credentials before continuing.

Delivery starts when enough information is available.

A written setup check can only be completed after enough useful information has been received.

If more detail is needed, otta.ie may ask follow-up questions before preparing the written review.

Unless agreed otherwise, otta.ie aims to provide the written review within 3 working days after receiving enough information to review the setup.

Delivery times are estimates and may change if the information provided is incomplete, unclear or more complex than expected.

You can cancel before the written work starts.

If you want to cancel, contact otta.ie as soon as possible after ordering.

If the written review has not yet started, the order can usually be cancelled and refunded.

If you ask otta.ie to begin the written review during the 14 day cancellation period, you agree that the service can start before that period ends.

If the written review has been fully completed within the 14 day cancellation period after you asked for the work to begin, the cancellation right may no longer apply.

If work has started but has not yet been completed, any refund may be reduced to reflect the work already carried out.

Refunds depend on the stage of the order.

If otta.ie cannot provide the ordered written setup check, a refund will be issued.

If the review has been completed and delivered as described, refunds are not normally available just because you decide not to use the advice.

If there is a problem with the delivered review, contact otta.ie and explain the issue. A correction, clarification or appropriate refund may be offered depending on the situation.

Refunds are normally made through the original payment method.

You remain responsible for your own setup.

otta.ie provides written advice to help you understand risks, structure and possible next steps.

You remain responsible for deciding whether to follow the advice, making changes to your own system and keeping backups before changing anything.

otta.ie is not responsible for data loss, service outages, configuration mistakes, missed backups or security issues caused by changes made after receiving the written review.

No remote access by default.

otta.ie does not require remote access for standard written setup checks.

You should not send login details, passwords, tokens or remote access credentials.

Any screenshots or configuration examples should be checked by you first so that private credentials are hidden.

Orders are paid online.

Orders are paid online through the checkout. Payment providers may process payment data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

otta.ie does not ask you to send payment details by email.
